Stan and Laura Neiman, owners of Neiman's Collision Center in Fallbrook. Stan Neiman has been in the auto body business for 35 years, dating to when his father opened Tri Cities Auto in Escondido. He learned the business from scratch, became a journeyman body man and then managed the shop before it was sold.

And while his father taught him how to fix cars, he taught him other lessons as well, Stan Neiman said.

"The main one was responsibility," he said. He taught me to be sure to take care of people. He said, 'You take care of them and they'll take care of you.'

Stan met Laura while working at Oceanside Body Shop, owned by Laura's father. Laura was working there as a receptionist. They have been married 28 years. They have two children and one grandson.

While managing a shop in Escondido in 1998, he started looking for a shop to buy. He heard of a shop in Fallbrook that was for sale. He knew and felt that Fallbrook was the place for him, and on Jan. 2, 1999, he opened for business. His wife came to work full time at the shop in 2001. Stan has now designed and built a brand new shop to his specifications.


He also tries to play an active role in the area. "The communities of Bonsall and Fallbrook have been good to us and our family," he said. "I try to return the favor by being involved in the community." He was president of the Fallbrook Village Rotary Club in 2001, served on the board of directors of the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce and became president of the chamber in 2005.

Neiman's Collision won the "Business of the Year" award for both Bonsall and Fallbrook's Chamber of Commerce for 2007. They are also members in good standing of the California Auto Body Association.
